- 1). Use vertical lines to represent falling water such as a waterfall, rain or shower. For example, draw a line to represent the top of a waterfall into vertical line for falling water. For rain, have vertical lines coming from the sky; for a shower draw vertical lines coming from a shower head.
- 2). Create horizontal lines to represent water such as a glass of water, ponds or puddles. For example, draw a line across a glass to represent water. For puddles and ponds draw an irregular oval shape and add horizontal lines within the shape.
- 3). Make horizontal wavy lines to create rough, choppy ocean water.
